The Student Support Services Department assist students, and families with learning or social/emotional challenges, and who may require specialized supports  or services provided through an Individualized Education Program, a 504 Accommodation Plan, ALP or an English Language Plan to help achieve their highest potential.  Through a collaborative, targeted, and effective intervention approach, services from qualified special service providers and general education staff most students demonstrate meaningful progress and increased academic success.

The Classical Academy welcomes students with disabilities into all programs, including the Cottage School Program.  In accordance with Section 504 and ADA policies and procedures, we work collaboratively with families during our application process to determine whether a student applicant is a student with a disability and, if so, whether the student needs appropriate accommodations and/or services.  Once those accommodations and/or services are determined, in accordance with applicable policy and law, we ensure the appropriate meeting takes place to determine whether and how the student can be appropriately accommodated and served to access our programs.

The Classical Academy's SSS Department follows and complies with all State and Federal requirements under IDEA, ECEA, ADA, FERPA to ensure we are providing a Free and Appropriate Education to all our students,  in the least restrictive environment with non-disabled peers.

Student Support Services is a team of teachers and specialists at each of our three campuses who also share The Classical Academy’s mission of assisting parents – not replacing them.  Please feel free to contact our Director of Student Support Services if you have questions, concerns or need assistance with helping your child.
